Codependency is the result of many things. Often it is childhood trauma, emotional neglect, and growing up feeling invisible that manifests as codependency in adulthood. Codependency is living below the veil of consciousness. No consciously aware person would ever seek the approval of someone abusive, dismissive, narcissistic, or uncaring. However, when we have unprocessed emotional wounds, our subconscious minds are in control until we awaken. The good news is, healing is possible!
